He believes that the power of metaphor is essential in building video game visual design. By meaningfully utilizing shape, color, texture, and layout to metaphorically bridge the story/gameplay and the visual elements, a powerful emotional connection can be created between players and the product. This positive journey for the players thereby can consciously drive the product toward an expected and meaningful direction.
